Did Daniel Radcliffe & Emma Watson Deserve Choice Kiss Over Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart?

In a surprising turn of events, Daniel and Emma’s kiss from ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I’ beat out Rob and Kristen’s lip lock from ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!’ Is that completely justified or totally crazy?

When the Teen Choice Awards were over, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson prevailed over favorites Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson for Choice Movie Kiss. We’re surprised — but not necessarily disappointed!

Kristen and Robert are usually shoo-ins to win any kind of kissing award — probably because fans believe that perhaps once the reserved couple will make out publicly! But this was Harry Potter‘s last chance to win any awards while The Twilight Saga still has two more movies in Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 to take home the prize for best kissing.

The most important lessons I learned from HP growing up were about the importance of friendship, courage, fighting for what you believe in, but above all…LOVE.

I couldn’t get through the first Twilight book (awful writing!!) but what I’ve gathered from the story (through the films) is that if you’re an ordinary girl preferably one with no personality, your life will be made right only if you meet a guy with a six pack, and if you do, all of your actions are then like dictated by that guy, and like nothing else matters except pleasing that guy. Oh! And like things get REALLY interesting when you meet like another guy with a six pack you want and it’s like totally like the most important thing in the world and like your friends and family just don’t get you so forget them, right? Like totally.

I’m sorry, vampires don’t sparkle. Fairies do.

Do I think they deserved the win? No. However, I almost felt like this was kind of a lifetime achievement award tribute for Harry Potter. AKA Give them every award as it is their last year for the films. That said…any award show that honors Bieber makes me want to run in terror.

Rob and Kristen have major chemistry, they practically melt the screen! I don’t know what some of you are thinking to not see that. I love Harry Potter, but the Dan and Emma kiss was bad, very awkward, and just weird! The Rupert and Emma kiss was better, but nothing like Rob and Kristen.

There is nothing sexy about the Harry Potter kiss..looks like she is eating his top lip…but Rob and Kristen..you feel that kiss all the way down to the bottom of your toes. For people that hate on Twilight, tell me why the saga has made 1.8 billion, that’s right billion dollars. It takes a lot of tickets to make that kind of money so undoubtedly more people liked the movies and writing than the people that didn’t.

yes 3 twilight movies made 1.8 billion dollars!what do you have to say that 1 hp movie made 1.14 billion dollars (in less than 4 weeks)and still going?also what do you have to say if i tell you that the 3 first hp movie made 2.655 billion dollars,800+ million that the 3 first twilight movies!!!when it comes to box office numbers hp put twilight in shame,no twilight movie is more successful than any hp movie!!and the hp franchise grossed till now 7.4 billion and you say twilight big?

I don’t think they deserved it. Rob and Kristen’s Kiss was way better than Dan and Emma’s!! They have no chemistry and it looked awkward. Kristen and Robert’s kiss was beautiful and it didn’t feel awkward.

Why not? Some may have not liked the Hermione and Harry kiss (calling it awkward), but there are others who don’t get the hype over the Bella and Edward kisses (I think they’re flat; nothing special). The Deathly Hallows movies were great. And there is still next year for DH Part 2.

Rob and Kristan kissing: Been there, done that, seen it a hundred times, nothing really new there.
Dan and Emma kissing: New, uncharted, and something that a handful of HP fans have wanted to see, along with the liplock with Grint.

I think from a chemistry standpoint no, the kiss between Radcliffe and Watson shouldnt of won as it seems forced (which makes sense because of the history there). However, i think the fanbase of HP is was anticipating that kiss (as well as the one with Grint) much more than the kiss between Pattinson and Stewart. Im not entirely sure how they come up with the voting but im guessing that played a part in how it turned out.

LOL. The kiss between Emma and Daniel looks so awkward and stiff and the one between Rob and Kristen they just look so bored. The kiss between R/K on the issue’s cover, the one from Twilight, was actually hot. You could feel the chemistry there. Not so much since then.

It’s hilarious to me that people would even dare to compare Harry Potter and that Twi-garbage. Harry Potter is so much more iconic. It’s got these amazing messages, and it’s about love prevailing over everything. There’s nothing about “Oh, it’s HP’s last time to win awards.” That’s just the jealous Twihards (just typing that word makes me shudder, ugh!) making up excuses for why their pedophilic book didn’t win.

Let me just put it this way – the people who like Twilight are a) gay guys or b) girls who wish they were Bella and wish they had a superhot boyfriend like Edward.

Twilight is totally anti-feminist and Edward is a creepy pedophile. Harry Potter isn’t about lust like Twilight is, but that’s what puts HP in a completely different league. HP is about morality and love, and that’s all you need in the end, not a creepy vampire boyfriend.

Ugh! Here we go again, comparing HP and TS? Seriously? And OBVIOUSLY by the way, HP only got those awards because it’s their last chance to have TCA awards. And for TCA to present a “special” award to HP, they have to take away that best liplock award from Rob and Kristen. But it’s their last chance anyway, I’ll wait for the best liplock on breaking dawn because it’s alot more steamy and romantic. okay, youre an idiot. twilight isnt about love, its about lust. and the last time i checked, abusive controlling boyfriends isnt love. harry potter on the other hand is all about love, love is a central theme in harry potter: the reason harry survived when he was a baby was because of love much stronger than omg youre so hot love. rowling told a better love story in one chapter than meyer did in 4 books. snape loved lily his whole life, only to her get married to his worst enemy, but he still protected her child even though harry was the spitting image of your worst enemy, always reminding him of how she loved someone else. even when snape died the last thing he wanted to see we’re harrys eyes, which were exactly like lilys. love that profound is so hard to imagine. LOVE IS GREATER THAN LUST ;)

Are you crazy? HP got the awards because they are authentic movies with a plotline, and acting, and they are a cinematic marvel. That is why they got, and deserved, their awards. Harry Potter is much better than Twilight. Twilight does not make anyone fall in love, its all about lust and sex. If the actors were not as attractive, no one would see it. Twilight has absolutely no substance. Meanwhile, the Harry Potter books/movies deal with bravery, love, good and evil, true friends, and criticsms of our own society, criticisms too subtle for Meyer to write in her books because she is too stupid, and the fans are too stupid. The HP series is an authentic movie series, not just some money machine like Twilight.

If you’ve read the HP books, you’d know it’s not exactly about magic. It’s about growing up and making the choice between good and evil. Love and hate. It’s just based in a magical setting. So yeah, it has magic, but one of the big themes in HP is love. Not just a bf/gf type of love, but the love of friendship, family, and the bf/gf thing. Love is he biggest thing in HP. Harry’s parents died for him out of LOVE. Many other characters that the readers loved so much fought, and died out of love. So how can you say HP is about magic and not love? It’s all love, just set in a magical place. Just like Twilgiht is a supposed to be love (i see it more as lust) but they put the whole live forever twist thing on it since they’re vampires. Harry Potter may not be a “love story” but love is the biggest part of the story. Just because the whole story isn’t about a couple, doesn’t mean it’s not love. I think HP is better for young people because it shows that your whole world doesn’t have to be based on a guy. It shows the love there is in friendship. Plus, when the guy Hermione was in love with left her, she stuck by her friend for the greater good, and because she loved him. That shows that there are different types of love. When the guy Bella loved left her, she frickin jumped off a cliff and nearly got herself killed. And I have read the Twilight books. I’m not saying they’re horrible, but I also don’t think it deserves so much hype.

I’m sure the HP kiss didn’t get more votes than the Eclipse kiss, it’s just that TCA producers wanted to give the awards to HP as it’s the last movie in the series. I guess it’s nice that HP gets some of these awards as it’s their last chance to win them.

I guess you’ve never read the disclaimer at the end of the show where it states that the producers have the final say in who takes the awards. I believe Eclipse would have won all the TCA’s since their fanbase is insane, not in a good way, and vote like crazy. I mean I’ve read that some of the “Twimoms” lie about their age so they can vote. I don’t understand their fascination with a story that came from a housewife’s wet dream.
