A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Ashley and J.P. may be having the ‘Cake Boss’ make their wedding cake! Plus all the details on the cupcakes they ate!
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert‘s fiance J.P. Rosenbaum sure does have a sweet tooth! On Aug. 6, J.P. and Ashley were presented with 41 cupcakes from Hoboken, N.J.’s infamous Carlo’s Bake Shop, but a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that J.P. may have been the one who requested the large red velvet cupcake!
Carlo’s Bake Shop — famous for TLC’s reality show Cake Boss — gave Ashley and J.P “one big red velvet cup cake and 40 other smaller assorted cupcakes,” the source tells us. “The red velvet may have been J.P.’s request.”
The cupcakes were sort of a present from the bakery to the happy couple to congratulate Ashley and J.P. on their engagement. “They were delivered Saturday [Aug. 6],” shares the source. Prices for a cupcake from Carlo’s range from $1.75-$3.00 per cupcake.
There was even a special message written on one of the cupcakes that may have been taken off later. “There was one tag, ‘Congrats Team Cupcake!’” reveals the source. This is a standing joke between Ashley and J.P. as J.P. admitted while filming The Bachelorette that people at his work gave him the nickname “Cupcake” after he brought cupcakes to the office one day.
Ashley apparently loved the cupcakes. “My favorite cupcakes. :) Thanks @cakebossbuddy !,” she tweeted Aug. 7.
She even openly asked the bakery to make her wedding cake! “@cakebossbuddy thank you so much!!!!!!! The cupcakes are amazing!!!!! Make our wedding cake????,” Ashley added.
The source confirmed that Ashley and J.P. may just be considering Carlo’s Bake Shop in their wedding planning. “There is talk about Carlo’s doing their wedding cake,” says the source.
This may the perfect idea as Carlo’s has an incredible track record of working with celebrities. They have made cakes and/or cupcakes for the likes of Britney Spears, Oprah, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Swift and many more stars!
