On the second episode of this season’s ‘Project Runway’, the designers used their creativity to craft clothes — out of pet store products! It was the weirdest challenge I’ve seen so far!
Who ever thought aquarium wiring, cat stratching posts, and colorful ferret litter could look so glamourous — or atrocious!? The Project Runway workroom was full of hay, hamster bedding and wee-wee doggie pads in what was easily one of the most interesting challenges to date. If you thought last week’s episode proved whether these designers could sink or swim, think again!
While I can’t imagine having to craft clothes after a visit to the pet store, I thought the judges comments regarding Bryce, Joshua C. and Fallene’s outfits were spot on — they were SO dated! It looked like something out of a bad 90′s bar scene. Heidi was hysterical when she said they looked like they should be peed-on — she always keeps it interesting!
I was so impressed with Joshua M.’s aquarium jewels and modern skirt — it sparkled! Anthony Ryan created a modern dress out of bird seeds and Oliver creates a typical high-fashion runway look out of dog bedding — how does he do it?
After numerous harsh comments and ego-boosting compliments from the judges, including guest judge, Stacey Bendet, the woman behind the uber-stylish contemporary brand Alice+Olivia, Oliver is named the winner for the week and poor Joshua C. is sent home — but I didn’t agree at all!
Anthony Ryan, I think you did an awesome job! You should have won this round! Another opinion: Bryce’s wee-wee pad skirt should have had him OUT! Watch out Bryce — if you pull another flop like that, you’ll definitely be packing your bags!
What did you think of the episode?
