Arnold delivered a 10 minute keynote speech and was laughing as he said lines from his ‘Terminator’ flicks like ‘hasta la vista’ and joked about running for President — are you shocked?
Either Arnold Schwarzenegger is putting on a brave front or he’s completely unfazed by his divorce scandal. The Former Governor of California took the stage on Aug. 4 at the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and appeared in good spirits as he gave a joke-filled speech to the crowd. Arnold discussed the state’s budget, what he learned in office and then threw in zingers like: “I’m going to run in 2012 … I’m going to run for President of the Body Building Association.”
Although the crowd laughed at Arnold’s silly humor, it definitely wasn’t the appropriate time to be bantering with the crowd. Arnold is embroiled in a highly public divorce with his wife of 25 years Maria Shriver, and his son Christopher was just released from the hospital after a serious boogie boarding accident.
Arnold, who is reportedly looking to jump start his former acting career concluded his speech with this: “Thank all of you for being here today. Hasta la vista, and I’ll be back.”
That’s a bit hokey and arrogant, don’t you think?

Do people expect him to go into hiding forever just because of this scandal? All high profile people have scandals, but they don’t go hiding their face forever, at some people the public has to forgive people for mistakes they’ve made- because everyone is human and there’s no perfect person in this world.
Arnold made a lot of accomplishments- and went from basically a nothing to an extremely successful person- with bodybuilding, his acting career, and becoming governor. Whether you like the man or not, you need to give him credit for having so much determination to accomplish goals because he grew up with a lot of hardship and was poor.
