Her face was destroyed and she was blinded in one eye when a neighbor’s pit bull mauled her in her stroller, when she was just two years old.

Amaya Hess, 7, refused to give up and five years on she’s preparing for the surgery she hopes will restore her vision!

“It’s huge. It’s the one and only thing that she has asked for. She wants it and she’s super excited to get it,” Amaya’s mom Bobbie explains.

The dog tore apart her ear, eye and ripped off scalp on one side of Amaya’s face, leaving her horribly disfigured. But proud Bobbie insists she’s never let her injuries get her down.

“Amaya is great,” she tells WSBT TV. “If you couldn’t see a facial deformity you’d think she was a normal 7-year-old.”
