At the 2011 Save Our Schools Rally in Washington on July 30, Matt got upset when a reporter questioned the integrity of teachers: ‘A teacher wants to teach…that’s why they take a sh***y salary and work long hours!’
There’s a lesson to be learned from this video — don’t mess with Matt Damon. The Oscar-winning actor — whose mom is a public school teacher — was anything but amused when a female reporter implied that teachers should be driven by the same job insecurity that drives him and other actors to work hard. “You think job insecurity is what makes me work hard?” he snaps at the reporter. And that’s only the beginning of his rant…
“I want to be an actor, it is not the same thing….problems are much more complex than that,” a red-faced Damon continues. “It’s like saying a teacher is going to get lazy when they have tenure. A teacher wants to teach! I mean, why else would you take a sh***y salary and really long hours and do that job unless you really loved to do it?”
But what really fires up the bald guy is when a cameraman chimes in, saying, “Ten percent of teachers are bad….”
The bear claws are out! Watch Damon’s reaction to this comment below!

ANOTHER example of uneducated, misinformed, dumb ass reporter/journalist. WTF is wrong with reporters who don’t take the time to EDUCATE themselves BEFORE they ask critical questions. GO MATT!!
