Ali confesses that she and Roberto pushed the date back because of Ali’s injury so that she’d be able to walk down the aisle without a limp!
Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky was supposed to be married to her fiance Roberto Martinez by now. But because of the leg surgery she had in July, Ali and Roberto postponed the date so that Ali can walk down the aisle!
“We had a date set, and that date has now passed,” Ali tells People magazine. “The decision to postpone was very difficult. I definitely shed some tears.”
Ashley didn’t want be a bride with a limp. “But I want to walk down the aisle,” she explains, “I don’t want to limp down the aisle.”
So instead of saying “I do” as planned, Ali and Roberto celebrated the day with each other. ”It was one of the best days we’ve had, just me and him,” Ali admits.
In fact, Ali doesn’t feel that she needs to get married asap. “In my mind, Roberto is my husband,” she shares. “We live together; we do everything together; we plan for the future together; we fight just like a good old married couple. The only thing that’s not saying ‘I’m married’ is another ring on my finger and a piece of paper.”
BFFs — do you think it was a smart decision for Ali to delay her wedding so that her leg would be fully healed?
