Ashley basically sets ‘The Bachelorette’ loser up for heartbreak. She knows she’s dumping him, but still lets him almost propose!

Bachelorette Ashley Hebert constantly talks about how she respects the guys and doesn’t want to hurt them. For that exact reasoning, she dumped Ryan Park before a rose ceremony to save him the embarrassment. But Ashley must not respect one of her final two contenders — Ben Flajnik or J.P. Rosenbaum — the same way, because she lets both men actually make it to the final rose ceremony instead of letting one go the day before like former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky did with Chris Lambton the previous season!

“Both guys get full-on down on one knee,” a show insider tells Us magazine. “Viewers will see something from one of the guys you’ve never really seen: anger. There is no friendship with Ashley after that.”

It took Ashley up until the last moment to decide who would receive her final rose. “I liked so many things about both of them,” Ashley says. “But, at the end, I knew exactly how I felt.”

Leading up to the the ceremony Ashley had some input from her family, specifically her sister Chrystie. Even though J.P.’s the rumored winner, Chrystie does not like like him! “Not only does Chrystie refuse to tell Ashley she sees a connection, she tells Ashley that she and Brad [Womack] had more heat,” shares the source.

But Ashley still gives both guys a chance before she makes her decision. On May 11, Ashley took a romantic stroll on a picturesque beach with Ben. “They were were kissing and holding hands,” says an onlooker. The next day, Ashley and J.P. kayaked to Vomo Lailai to picnic on the uninhabited island. When they got back, “they kissed and held each other tight for a very long time,” reveals the observer.

Whomever Ashley winds up erases the pain caused by the earlier goodbye. The winner asks for Ashley to marry him. “He spoke from the heart,” notes the insider. “There was a huge outpouring of emotion and tears from both of them.”

“There’s no doubt these two will get married,” says the insider. “They are really in love.”
