Amy’s ex is currently behind bars for a burglary gone bad, but his dad tells TMZ that Blake planned on staging an intervention for Amy upon his 2012 release.

Amy Winehouse‘s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is “inconsolable” following her tragic death. Amy and Blake were married for two years and the public watched as they battled substance abuse together in their very toxic marriage. When Blake learned of Amy’s untimely death on July 23, he reportedly broke down in his jail cell and was placed on suicide watch. Now his father, Larry Fielder tells TMZ that Blake knew of Amy’s continuing addiction and he had plans to “save her.”

Both Amy and Blake admitted it was a toxic relationship — although at one point Amy revealed she’d never let Blake divorce her because he was the “male version” of herself. They couple officially divorced on Aug. 28 2009.

Blake, who is currently serving a 32-month sentence for a burglary gone bad while in possession of an “imitation” firearm, told The Sun: “I’m beyond inconsolable…my tears will never dry.”

Blake’s current girlfriend Sarah reportedly visited Blake in jail and all he did was “hysterically” cry.
