Kiehl’s has been a leader in beauty products for 160 years and the powerhouse brand has finally opened its first spa. Would you pay it a visit?
Find out what special touches the geniuses at Kiehl’s have made to the spa and what amenities it offers that you can’t find anywhere else! The Keihls 1851 Spa, which opened on the Upper East Side, stayed true to the roots of the brand keeping with it’s edgy hipster-esque vibe. The spa features the Grooming Station equipped with custom-made motorcycle barber chairs, and three private rooms for treatments. The first room is the Apothecary Room, which is based around the brands devotion to science that has attributed their overall success in creating products that give such great results. Next is the Rainforest Room, the source of inspiration here was to make reference to the brand sourcing the finest natural ingredients from around the world. And lastly is the Adventure Room, which reflects upon the brands spirit of adventure with images of a climb up Mount Everest and the Badwater Ultramarathon in the Mojave Dessert.
The spirit of the spa is unlike any other I have ever experienced. Instead of trying to create a typical spa environment with a modern design, minimal furniture, and elevator music — all which seem very forced — they do not try and push tranquility and relaxation on you. You can even plug in your iPod in the treatment rooms so that you can listen to your own music during your session. One of my personal favorite little tidbits were the chandeliers in each treatment room.
Keihl’s Spa 1851 is a breath of fresh air in the spa industry and a great step for the brand. I can’t wait to experience one of their amazing treatments and tell you all about it, HollywoodLifers!
