It’s so William and Kate to move into a cottage and not a huge palace — don’t you just love how down-to-earth they are?
Prince William and Kate Middleton are movin’ on up! The newly married couple still rent their Angelsey Wales farmhouse, but they now have a place to call home in London. The Royal couple moved into Nottingham Cottage “Nott Cott” last week and they didn’t do much in the way of renovations — they just want to spend time in their cozy new apartment with each other!
The “starter home” consists of two-bedrooms with a few “snug” reception rooms and a small yard. Perfect for the couple that loves to spend every waking moment together. The residence formerly belonged to Princess Diana’s sister Lady Jane Fellowes and her husband Sir Robert Fellowes — the Queen’s former secretary.
“Although it’s not huge it’s their own space,” a source tells The Daily Mail. “They are delighted with it.”
Surprisingly, William and Kate weren’t too picky about fixing up their new digs. The romantic couple is just disappointed that there isn’t a garden for Kate to exercise her “green-thumb.”
“Kate has been overseeing a refurb there, but they haven’t done much to it,” the source continues. “It’s just a lick of paint to freshen the place up.”
But this residence may only be temporary. The happy couple have reportedly been eyeing Apartment 1a, a 19-room suite that belonged to the late Princess Margaret. But Kate isn’t too thrilled with the idea of moving into apartments 8 and 9, because they were once the marital home of Prince Charles and Diana. Kate is reportedly “uncomfortable” with the notion of moving in there — and we don’t blame her one bit!
Apartment 1 a is currently open to the public, and if William and Kate pick this residence, it must be returned to the “Royal Household.”
William and Kate have been together non-stop and all of their happy marital dreams are coming true. We can’t wait for “WillKat” to start expanding their family — they’ll have the most well-balanced royal offspring by far.

Prince William doesn’t want to live as Royal family members did, before him? I’m thinking about whether this is a smart new change or not. I guess it has its upsides, as long as the other mansions they own are managed well and put to use. They could be used, for a lot of supporting purposes. I think the new couple’s decision on not using servants is a good change. Royals can take care of themselves just like everyone else does. People should not take their time slaving for someone. They should be directed to enrich their brain and learn more. We’d get a lot further in life if people enriched their brain, instead of slaving for people.
