The heartbreaking massacre took place at a roller rink where the couple were celebrating their son’s 11th birthday.
After ushering his son and his friends out of the way, Tan Do opened fire on his wife, Trini, and four of her relatives before turning the gun on himself. What a horrible tragedy.
Trini’s sisters Lynn Ta, 16, and Michelle Ta, 28; her brother, Hien Ta, 21; and her sister-in-law, Thuy Nguyen, 25 were all killed in the rampage which took place in Grand Rapids, TX, on Saturday July 23.
Four other people were injured.
Tragically, Tan, 35, had a history of domestic violence – his wife had accused him of hitting her and threatening her with guns in the months before his killing spree.
Trini, 29, even secured a protective order in December 2010, only to withdraw it months later because she wanted to give Tan a second chance.
The unnamed 11-year-old orphaned by this tragedy is now being cared for by family members.
What a sad, sad story
