A source close to the ‘Bachelor’ couple reveals that Emily’s 6-year-old daughter is devastated over their split: ‘Ricki had become attached to Brad.’ So sad!
We were all upset after hearing about Bachelor Brad Womack and Emily Maynard‘s break-up, but no one seems to be more crushed than Emily’s daughter Ricki. Brad was like the father she never had!
Ricki’s biological father, race car driver Ricky Hendrick, died in a plane crash before she was born, so the 6-year-old never knew what it was like to have a dad.
“Emily sat down and explained to Ricki that although she and Brad weren’t together anymore, he would still be a part of their lives,” a pal reveals to Ok! magazine.
“She didn’t want to just rip another person out of her life,” the friend adds. “Brad was really fond of Ricki, too.”
Meanwhile, Emily is in talks to become the next Bachelorette, but only time will tell. Will Ricki ever get the father figure she deserves?
