Selena Gomez Looks Sophisticated & Sexy On The Cover Of 'Elle Mexico': She's All Grown Up!

The young star ditches the girl-next-door look for the August cover, where she vamps it up in a chic black dress — do you like this sexy side of Selena?

You may be used to seeing Selena Gomez in something cute and sweet, but the Elle Mexico covergirl showed off a very different side for the August issue — and while she oozes sexy sophistication, she still manages to look totally chic without taking the look over-the-top — way to go, Selena!

According to the mag, she’s the “girl of the moment,” and we couldn’t agree more! Clad in a black, long-sleeved Altuzarra get-up, a wide brim Scala Pronto hat, and a gold Gucci belt, Selena looks all grown-up! Inside the mag, the star continues her stellar style run in a slew of retro get-ups.

I won’t say I don’t like her, but really?? young woman? Look at her waist…. her body really look too thin even strange, her head look big for this body… I find her face perfect but what is that 10 years old body… the picture is not really good.

OK, the point of the article is that Selena Gomez is a cute girl who is growing up to be a beautiful young woman. I also critique celebs but no one has the right to judge a person if you’ve never even met them in your life…. and guess what at the end of the day THEY DON’T CARE, cause they have bigger problems than to care what some insecure, jealous person has to say.

She is beautiful, but people should be able to state their opinion about anyone. Critiquing someone is just a polite way of saying judging someone, and like you just said, I think they could care less about your critiques. Keep in mind that not everyone is going to view someone the way you do. Doesn’t make them mean, for not sharing your opinion.

I would not call that sexy. Sophisticated (more so then usual)perhaps. What you have to understand is that this is an adult magazine. The picture is dull and, inside of the magazine, you know Selena isn’t going to say anything interesting or quirky. This magazine is not going to sell to anyone, unless it’s somebody who would have bought the magazine no matter who was on the cover. And that is Selena’s problem. She isn’t talented, or interesting, or charismatic enough to sell herself to a mature adult audience.

Oh please. How dumb. A dumb Miley stan has bad things to say about Selena. Who’d have thought! Go and worship Miley. Stop bringing Selena down to make Miley look better. Selena is in fact, the opposite of everything you said. She is talented, charismatic and gorgeous. You obviously consider her enough of a threat to Miley’s status that you have to talk sh*t about her. Since we’re all free to express our opinions, Miley Cyrus in nothing special and is fading out quickly. Selena is only getting hotter. And no, it’s not because her boyfriend is Bieber. It’s because the more an adult audience becomes aware of her, the more they realise how special she really is. She has something that is rare, that cannot be bought: true star quality.

I’m so sick and tired of reading all these “you’re just a fan of Miley, Justin, Demi… that’s why you don’t like Selena…” comments. It’s all bullcrap!
If I don’t like a celebrity it’s usually because they’re either overrated or not talented. I think Selena is just so overrated. There are a bunch of other celebrities that we can spend our time admiring, but yet people tend to focus on this mediocre girl, because she’s cute and “can do nothing wrong”.
But that’s the way I see it. That’s my opinion. Now you can sit here and admire her all you want, but please don’t make up some bad argument to why I don’t like her.
I just have a higher standard than you do.

And to Nicole…I hate those kind of comments too. The “if you don’t like, then don’t read it.” How am I going to know that the comment says that if I don’t read it. It’s not like my mind can instantly just go, “Oh I’m not going to like that comment, I’m just going to skip it.” Reading is a complex thing that involves the eyes and the mind…and you know what I’m just going to let you sit there and read your comment. I called her talent mediocre. And I’m allowed to voice out my opinion, if that was truly my opinion about her talent, than that’s my opinion, there’s nothing you can say to change that. PLUS comparing her to other women is also very low, don’t use a site to critsize or think you can opinionate on one’s image. You all do attack with petty comments sometimes. Which makes a person more aggressive with what they’re trying to say. Have you ever thought about just ignoring someone?
