Is the royal couple planning for a baby really soon? Sounds like it!
The royal wedding cake designer Fiona Cairns revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton have followed a well-known tradition by saving the top two tiers of their magnificent eight-tiered wedding cake. And the tradition is usually undertaken by couples who plan to serve the cake at the christening of their first born! Is there a royal baby on the way?
“As is tradition, the Duke and Duchess have kept the top two tiers,” Mrs. Cairns tells the Daily Mail. “The third tier was cut up and served at the wedding together with the extra fruit cake we supplied.”
And Miranda Eason, editor of UK’s You & Your Wedding magazine, adds, “Saving the top tier to celebrate the birth of the first born is the tradition. But couples are also saving it for their first anniversary to crack open with a bottle of bubbly.” Oooh!!
So when we hear the wonderful news of Kate’s pregnancy, we’ll be looking forward to seeing if they in fact saved the cake for their baby boy or girl’s christening!

OMG… I can’t wait to see if their actually expecting. When they got married my mother and I stayed awake from early morning until the next day to see the royal wedding. I love William and Catherine I think they will make wonderful parents. They’ll raise their children to be loving, caring, understanding, and to have a kind heart. If you guys read this I wanted to congratulate you and send my blessings on you and your family. I know your Mom is watching from heaven and smiling down on you.
