Several Kids Dead After Shooting At Youth Camp in Norway Following Oslo Bombings!

A man dressed in a police uniform opened fire at children during the annual gathering of the government’s Labor Party today, July 22. Truly heartbreaking.

A powerful explosion ripped through government buildings in Oslo today, including the Prime Minister’s office, killing seven people. Meanwhile, it is being reported that 20 to 30 kids may have been killed and five injured during a shooting at a youth camp on Utøya, an island right outside the city. How devastating.

Reportedly panicked teenagers tried to escape the gunfire by swimming to the mainland. Some 700 people, mostly between the ages of 14 and 18, were attending the camp. It is being reported by CNN that many of them have been evacuated from the mainland island where a shooter opened fire.

One person was arrested following the shooting, but it was not immediately clear whether the shootings and bombing at Oslo’s government buildings were linked.

We pray for Norway during this horrific time.
