A composed Maria made the 911 call to report the boogie boarding accident that landed her son in the ICU.
“He just can’t move, he’s having trouble breathing,” Maria Shriver told the 911 operator after her son, Christopher, got into a boogie boarding accident near their Malibu home last weekend. In the 911 call, released by TMZ, Maria explained, “He can’t move off the beach, maybe like a broken rib or something like that.”
Christopher, 13, was treated at a nearby hospital for multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung.
“A few days ago our son Christopher suffered an accident at the beach. While it has been a very scary week, Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends. He is a brave boy and is expected to make a full recovery,” Maria and estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger said in a statement to TMZ.
