Edward Cullen is the hero of your tale, Stephenie. How can you leave his story unfinished?
Stephenie Meyer may write a Twilight spin-off, director Bill Condon announced at the Comic-Con panel for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. “It’s the end of the Bella/Edward story. Especially in the second movie there are so many new characters, I expect she’ll want to revisit them at some point,” Bill explained. But before she gets to any other characters, we need the conclusion of Edward’s Midnight Sun!
Personally, reading about Jacob and Renesmee/Nessie/whatever would gross me out. (Spoiler alert! He basically falls in love with Bella and Edward’s baby. Yuck.) And don’t get me started on how little I want to hear about the wolfpack (Leah is a complete and utter drag) or the Volturi (Too villainous to be entertaining). Although I’m mildly interested in Garrett and Kate’s continuing romance (They were actually intriguing), what I really want is Midnight Sun.
You remember Midnight Sun, right? Twilight from Edward’s point of view. And you’ll recall that when an incomplete manuscript of Stephenie’s book leaked, she refused to finish it! But isn’t that taking it out on the loyal fans who are dying to hear the rest of Edward’s thoughts?
Stephenie wrote twelve chapters of the book, which you can read on her website. It takes us through the beginnings of Bella and Edward’s relationship — the Biology classes, the car accident, the thug ambush in Port Angeles and their lunches together. But it stops right before the sparkling meadow reveal, and of course, their first kiss! And I’m dying to read Edward’s side of that!
Twi-hards who’ve read what she has released will know that Edward’s version of events includes much more than what you see in the original Twilight. And let’s face it, I like Bella, but the “woe-is-me-I’m-so-awkward-and-why-do-all-these-boys-like-me” attitude gets a tiny bit annoying. I’d rather hear what Edward is thinking.
So please, Stephenie. Before you tackle anymore Twilight characters — be it vampires, wolves, humans or half-breeds — I’m begging you, finish Midnight Sun. Then I’ll gladly shut up and let you write whatever you want.

I would love to read about Edwards point of view it could contain answers to many unanswered questions. I just can’t believe SM would just “drop” this story line. My goodness, there are so many loose ends. Jacob and Nessie (no it is not perverted) Jacob IMPRINTED on Nessie, Jacob explained to Bella and Edward (in one of the final scenes of BD pt 1)read the minds of the wolves and Jacob and understood. Jacob is not going to do anything inappropriate, remember Nessie grows, matures and learns at a very exaggerated pace. Aero is chomping at the bit to have Edward, Alice and now Bella and I would surmise Nessie now within his “clan”. What happens and how does Bella and Charlie deal with the whole Vampire and shape shifter thing…remember Jacob went to Charlie’s house and phased in front of him, so what now. Does Charlie keep company with Sue Clearwater or what? Does Renee find out about any of this? Come on, give us a break, Keep it going SM. PLEASE a true Twi-hard like millions of others. Please be as faithful to us as we have been to this series.
