J. Lo — you mustn’t make the same mistake of falling for another man who wants to control you or change you!

Face it, Jennifer, you are one HOT powerful mama! And realistically, there aren’t a lot of men who can deal with that. And not only are you hot and powerful, but you are gorgeous, rich, incredibly busy AND you’re a mom of 3-year-old twins!

That’s a whole lot for most men to take on. Who is even going to get up the guts to ask you out? A guy who goes after you now is either incredibly confident or someone who may be looking to make THEIR name by hooking up with you.

You have to be very careful! But that doesn’t mean that love has closed its door for you — that wouldn’t be fair at all! You’re a woman that a certain type of man would find incredibly admirable, as well as sexy and interesting.

And yes, that IS a man who is confident and accomplished in his own right. He needs to feel secure about himself to #1 stand up to you and be able to express his opinions and needs in the relationship, but #2 not feel a need to exert himself by controlling you.

Now J. Lo, don’t mix this up and think that this needs to be a man as wealthy or as famous as you. He doesn’t need to be as long as he has his own career or passion that he is strong in and committed to.

You already tried love with a man who was solely a moon to your sun — husband #2 Chris Judd. He was loving and appreciative of you but you overwhelmed him.

For your own sake, you need to be in a relationship that has give and take and for that you’ll need to compromise. But not compromise your energy, enthusiasms, ambitions, and sexiness — like you had to with Marc.

You also have to be even more careful not to mistake bossiness for strength of character. As relationship expert Cooper Lawrence from the Scott & Todd Show on PLJ and Fox’s Dish Nation says, “J. Lo probably welcomed Marc’s take charge attitude at first. It’s nice to hand over the reigns, but he clearly took advantage and took it too far.”

That’s for sure.

Listen, Jennifer, it’s not going to be easy and it may be lonely for a while. But I’m glad to see how happy and relieved you were performing at a Ukranian wedding just days after your divorce was announced. You looked like you were reveling in your freedom! Hooray!

But it will be worth it to hold our for a real Mr. Right. You deserve to have the passion again that you felt for Ben Affleck.

Look at Mariah Carey‘s example. She was single for a long time after her divorce from Tommy Mattola before she met Nick Cannon and found a perfect match.

Think about Nick, Jennifer. He has his own successful career without being nearly as big as his superstar wife. And he jokingly puts up with Maria’s at-times diva ways. But for all her superstar-ness, he’s not intimidated and she gets off her high horse and high heels for him. Voila — It works!

So congrats for escaping your gilded cage! Enjoy your freedom and know that you can love and be loved again. Just don’t settle for Mr. Wrong, once again.
