After a record-breaking opening of the last ‘Harry Potter’ movie, it may be only a matter of time before everyone’s favorite wizard makes it to the small screen.
J.K. Rowling originally said she feared that turning Harry Potter into flesh would discourage kids from reading, but there are now 450 million Potter books in print! That obviously hasn’t been the case. Now what’s stopping a TV series? A new report from the New York Post suggests not much!
What it really comes down to is, of course, MONEY! The fact is, kids (and adults!) love the Harry Potter series, and that’s why Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 raked in a record breaking half-billion dollars on it’s first weekend out, boosted to a billion by Monday morning.
There’s a The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, and an interactive website, Pottermore.com on it’s way for an October launch.
Keeping in mind that Rowling and other producers could squeeze every last cent out of the seven books, do you think there will be a Harry Potter TV show soon to come? And if so, could it possibly center around our beloved characters Harry, Hermione, and Ron? Vote!

Actually, there should be tv series of Harry Potter rather than movie series, bcoz in movie almost everything is like fast forwarded story. I understand the HP movies only bcoz i have read all 7 HP books. But in TV shows we can show the story in detail. 7 seasons with episodes corresponding to each chapter in each book. I wish i could do tell JK Rowling directly how TV series would be much better than movies. I bet none fully understand the movies unless they had already read the HP books. TV shows with each episode 1 hour can explore all emotions, fantasy, drama and every details of the story.
