When Maria filed on July 1, she requested spousal support and for Arnold to pay her attorney fees but the former Governor of California is saying ‘hasta la vista’ baby! Is he a huge jerk?
Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to duke it out with his wife of 25 years Maria Shriver. Despite cheating on Maria with their housekeeper and fathering a love child during his marriage, Arnold is choosing to overlook his transgressions. The actor turned politician responded to Maria’s divorce filing by filing his own papers in LA on July 20.
Arnold also cited “dissolution of marriage” as a cause, but he made some shocking moves in his filing. HollywoodLife.com spoke with top divorce attorney Vikki Ziegler who reveals that it was very telling that Arnold would request that all of his “earnings and accumulations from and after their separation be made separate.”
“For some reason he’s saying he wants his assets and earnings to be separate since they separated,” Vikki says. “So this says to me, did he sign up for a new movie? He must believe he’s earned or made deals since he and Maria separated that he thinks could make him a lot of money and wants to keep that separate.”
Shady if you ask us, but it gets worse! Arnold also countered Maria’s request for Arnold to pay her attorney fees AND requested the court deny Maria spousal support.
Perhaps Maria is financially sound because of her previous career as a news anchor and reporter for NBC, so he thinks she doesn’t need his money, but that’s not the point! Arnold cheated on Maria for more than half of their marriage, even as she publicly defended him against cheating accusations during his run for governor of California! She also quit her own job to help Arnold become governor.
Maria also requested joint legal and physical custody of their sons Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13, which Arnold agreed to.
Arnold’s filing also raises another strange point, according to Vikki — there’s no mention of a prenup. His filing says: “The nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of the parties are unknown at this time to Respondent.”
“It’s interesting that his attorney doesn’t mention a prenup,” Vikki tells us. “Maybe it’s because the prenup hasn’t been reviewed recently, or there’s a deal being negotiated … This is a little strange.”

The poor thing just bought herself a $10 million mansion and I’m supposed to feel sorry for her? She’s just being greedy. With her wealth she should not be entitled to anything other than child support. And she wanted the divorce, not him!
