We talked to Katrina Brown who worked with Justin Bieber on ways to prevent kids from texting and driving!
With people constantly being “plugged in” to their cell phones, texting is becoming a serious threat to drivers across the country. We talked to a teen who worked personally with Justin Bieber on the new public service announcement to urge kids to keep eyes off their phones and on the road.
“We were there working with him with Phoneguard! We made PSAs and did a photo shoot with him. Justin is such a great person — he is incredibly nice and so is his manager, Scooter. They are amazing people!” said 16-year-old Katrina Brown who lost her older sister to a texting and driving accident.
The public service announcement debuted today, and we think it’s great that Justin is using his power as a role model to encourage his peers to stay off their cells when they’re behind the wheel. Justin first met Katrina on ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’, and decided to help out her family by getting involved with the PhoneGuard campaign. The PhoneGuard app can be downloaded on smart phones to prevent texting and driving, and all proceeds are donated to the Remember Alex Brown Foundation.
Tell us what YOU think about Justin’s public service announcement? Does it encourage you to download the PhoneGuard app?
