A source claims that Marc hooked up with a stewardess aboard a private jet in 2009 — causing a huge rift with Jennifer!
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony‘s marriage was in trouble long before they announced their breakup. Among the issues — Marc’s alleged infidelity!
Not only would Marc go out without his wedding ring and flirt with women in clubs in NYC and Las Vegas — but he even reportedly went as far as to cheat on Jennifer with a flight attendant he met on a private plane two years ago!
“Marc and Jennifer almost split up over it,” one source tells Us Weekly.
Another source adds, “Jennifer was going to leave him then, but Marc begged her to stay. They went to marriage counseling and she decided to give it another shot. He was someone she truly loved.”
But it wasn’t just the cheating that led to their split. Here are other reasons why!
He didn’t trust her: “He couldn’t stand her working around men who were remotely attractive unless he was there supervising,” a source says.
He accused HER of cheating with her ‘I’m Into You’ video co-star William Levy: “Marc was extremely paranoid that she was having an affair with him and went crazy with jealousy and rage and screamed at Jennifer,” the same source adds. “She told him she was absolutely not cheating, but Marc was so upset, he left the house for a few days.”
He was controlling: “Marc has always been a dominating husband,” an insider explains. “He wants to control everything Jennifer does, including her career.”
His choices almost ruined her career: “Jennifer feels like she hit her lowest point careerwise because of Marc’s decisions,” a different source says. (It was his idea for the couple to co-star in the box office bomb El Cantante, which damaged J.Lo’s image.)
He didn’t accept no for an answer: “Marc was the king of bad decisions, but you couldn’t say no to him or it would cause a big fight,” an insider adds.
He took advantage of her insecurities: Us reports that Jennifer “actually has low self-esteem and Marc really played into that insecurity. That’s why she put with with his abuse for a long time.”
His parenting style was much different: “She’s a really hands on mom — so loving and nurturing while he seemed to feel bothered by [their twins],” a family friend dishes.
