Demi Lovato has gone through quite the emotional roller coaster throughout the past year, using music as an outlet for her feelings…but she’s also using an alternative form of art to help her heal: her numerous tattoos!
At her first red carpet in more than a year, Demi Lovato talked to us about her upcoming album, how fans have reached out to her and revealed the personal messages behind each of her tattoos!
Admitting that being back in the spotlight at Tuesday night’s HTC Social Status Launch Party in Los Angeles was “kinda nerve-wracking a little bit,” Demi, 18, opened up about her “fun” new tattoo and how it compares to her more serious ones.
“I have cross on my hand, so that every time I hold a microphone you are going to see a cross. I’m pretty spiritual, im a very spiritiual person. I believe in God and I’m a Christian so what better way than to put it where you are going to see it when im holding a mic,” she said.
In terms of the lighter series of tattos she got, Demi explained, “I got like a kiss mark, and it’s just like a friendship tattoo and also it kinda reminds me not to take myself too seriously. I got like a fun tattoo rather than all these other ones that are so serious.”
It sounds like the former Sonny With A Chance Star is dealing with her return to the spotlight extremely well. Plus, with her new album coming out soon, we are just so happy for her success!

I love the cross tat on her right hand, she is beautiful and i look up to her as a role model and i am much older. To relate to dealing with stuff in life i just got the cross tat on my right hand as well. It is beautiful and a happy reminder you can make life beautiful even during tough times.
