With tears running down her cheeks and the Pacific Ocean’s waves rolling in the background, Ashley jumped into her fiance’s arms and said, ‘YES!’ Here are all the romantic details!
On May 13 at the Vomo Island Resort in Fiji, Bachelorette Ashley Hebert waited for the man of her dreams to arrive and hopefully get down on one knee! After weeks leading up to this moment, Ashley — in a light-pink sequined long dress, being cooled by a gentle breeze and with the Pacific ocean in the background — worried that he wouldn’t propose. “I came here to meet the man of my dreams, and I’m certain with the way I feel about him,” she gushed as she waited, reports Life & Style magazine. “I don’t want to live without him.”
As soon as her love (possibly rumored winner J.P. Rosenbaum) came down the path, Ashley’s wildest dreams came true. He asked for her hand in marriage with 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring — and Ashley said yes, while tears ran down her cheeks. She then jumped into his arms!
“It’s totally secluded and luxurious,” a source describes the scenery. “You can lie in your own private bungalow and see the waves crashing outside. It would be hard not to say yes if someone proposed to you there.”
Up to this point in the show, Ashley has three remaining men competing for her love — J.P., Ben Flajnik and Constantine Tzortzis — but only one receives her final rose.
On May 10, Ashley was spotted taking a 20-minute stroll with Ben down a picturesque beach in Fiji. “They clearly had a bond — Ben even picked her up at one point and spun her around,” shares a witness.
But then Ben got serious. “Ben looked like he had a lot on his mind,” adds the onlooker. Could Ashley have been saying goodbye to him?
J.P. also finally tells Ashley: “I love you.” But is this who has stolen Ashley’s heart?
Since returning from Fiji, Ashley has had stars in her eyes. “She told her family she was walking on air,” reveals a friend. “She said her time in Fiji was magical and that she will never forget the experience.”
