Leiby’s family fear Esther Kletzky can’t handle the horrific truth about how her eight-year-old son was kidnapped, murdered and his body dismembered.
A week after Leiby Kletzky‘s terrible death, his grieving relatives are piecing together their lives and struggling to keep details of his grisly demise from the more fragile members of the family.
Leiby’s grandad Isaac Forster tells the New York Post Esther Kletzky, 36, doesn’t know the “terrible” details of her son’s death and that the family are “trying to do everything” to keep her in the dark, for her own sake.
Esther has four other children, all daughters, with Leiby’s dad Nachman Kletzky.
Leiby’s elderly great-grandmother doesn’t even know he has died.
Are they doing the right thing, HollyMoms — or making it harder for Leiby’s mom, in the long run?
Levi Aron, 35, has allegedly confessed to kidnapping and murder, but pleaded NOT guilty during a court hearing on July 14. He is currently being evaluated by a psychiatrist, after telling his attorney he has been hearing voices

Wow…the family wants their privacy and for the details of the gruesome death of a child kept from a grieving mother…I’m surprised you didn’t just post the details here with pictures!! What is it with this incessant need to just stomp and sh*t all over grieving people or people who desire to be respected. So what I THINK is that….the family has a right to shelter themselves just as you have a right to take a big steamy media dump all over their wishes and kick them when they are down by suggesting the public should cast their judgements on the wishes of a devastated family. Way to keep it classy, Ian!
Honestly, I would not be surprised if you posted horrific crime scene pictures in the hopes the family will see it…so sick and selfish in your writing…always with the rude and backhanded judgements under the thinly veiled guise of concern. PATHETIC!!!
