Ashley wasn’t nervous to meet J.P.’s parents — and she even told his mom that she’s ‘smitten!’ Aww!
As this season of The Bachelorette continues, it’s becoming more and more obvious that Ashley Hebert is falling head over heels for J.P. Rosenbaum. It’s seems like the rumors that he wins her final rose may just turn out to be true. And during the July 18 episode, Ashley finally met J.P.’s family — clicking with them better than she did with either Constantine Tzortzis or Ben Flajnik‘s relatives!
There’s no denying that there’s chemistry between Ashley and J.P. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other during the roller-skating part of their date. And when they did come up for air between make out sessions, all they did was smile and giggle! It was getting borderline nauseating. But of course they couldn’t get a room because that can’t happen until the overnight dates!
The producers eventually had to break up the love session — and it was finally time for Ashley to meet J.P.’s parents. And as soon as they walked through the doors, J.P.’s mom, dad and brother all gave Ashley a big hug!
Before meeting the other parents, Ashley seemed nervous, but not when she went home with J.P. She instead gladly sat down with J.P.’s mom and didn’t appear scared when his mom asked her a round of serious questions.
Ashley quickly fessed that she’s smitten with J.P. to his mom. She didn’t say that about any of the other guys!
And during dinner, Ashley joked about the food that J.P.’s mom made hinting at the calories in the lasagna. People don’t joke like that unless they’re completely comfortable.
Based on Ashley’s interactions with J.P.’s parents, it seems like she’s that much closer to getting engaged to him. BFFs — do you agree with me?

Actually Ashley was pretty comfortable with all her hometown families, especially with Constantine’s Greek family. She seemed to have the best time with them.
Ashley seemed somewhat concerned about meeting Ben’s family, because he told her he had only brought home one girl before her. So she felt pressure to impress. Of course, if she didn’t care about him, it should not have mattered so much to her. My feelings are that if you really like a person, you care whether their family likes you or not generally. Especially if it is important to them that your family approves of you.
The comment about the carb-laden lasagna was made by J.P. – not Ashley. Did you even watch the show? I remember it because you don’t usually hear men talking about too many carbs or calories. That is usually the topic of women. JP’s family were extremely fixated on the fact that he may get hurt, but that may be because he is from a Jewish family. Jewish moms are extra protective of their family, in my experience.
