Casey’s relationship with her mom and dad, George and Cindy, has totally broken down. They’ve had NO contact with her since she was found not guilty and she’s refusing to accept their offer of help.
Casey Anthony was freed from jail early on Sunday and jetted off in a private jet to a mystery location, thought to be Columbus, Ohio, where she’ll plan her new life — without the help of her mom and dad!
“Casey is not staying with us. I haven’t heard from Casey and I don’t know where she is,” Casey’s uncle Chuck Eddy tells RadarOnline.com.
She was whisked off in a private jet belonging to a wealthy California-based attorney, bound for Ohio — George and Cindy Anthony‘s home state.
But the couple — who testified AGAINST their daughter — want to make it clear, they’re not helping the 25-year-old.
In fact, Casey, 25, and her legal team have BLOCKED any attempt George and Cindy have made to assist their daughter.
Their attorney Mark Lippman tells TMZ, “Mr. Baez and Mr. Mason (Casey’s attorneys) have made it abundantly clear that their client will not have contact with my clients. We have no idea what the plans are for Casey, so even if she was out of jail we would not know where to contact her to even attempt to set up a meeting.”
Experts say she could easily assume a new identity and ‘disappear’– but others who have started again, in the witness relocation program, warn Casey that reinventing yourself is harder than it seems.
Nancy DeFede has been in hiding since 2002, when her husband Joe became a mafia informant. She tells the New York Times, “It’s hard to start over as a totally different person. How do you make a résumé? How do you find a job? We lost our family, our money, everything. Disappearing is an empty, miserable life.”
Wherever she ends up, Casey will have to contend with hate mail and death threats. Hundreds waited outside the Orange County Jail in Orlando to protest her release with placards and chants.
Most people still feel Casey cheated justice and WAS responsible for the death of her daughter, Caylee Marie, in 2008.
What do you make of it all, HollyMoms? Is she going to stay in Ohio? Are her parents REALLY helping her in secret?
