The pint-sized prima donna shared her career plans with the ladies on The View — and the six-year-old has set her sights on bigger and better things!
Wearing lace stockings and knee-high black patent leather knee high boots, Eden Wood and her mother, Micki, sat down with Barbara Walters and the ladies to discuss what the future holds and perform her new song “Cutie Patootie.”
According to Micki, “Eden’s career is going to be being a superstar. If she wants it, the sky’s the limit.” She even revealed that Eden has won enough money from pageants to cover her college education!
Micki also cleared up the misconception that she gives Eden energy drinks like Red Bull, but admits she lets her daughter get spray tans and her teeth whitened.
When Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked how Eden balances the pressure of the pageant world with being a normal girl, Micki said she plays with her pets: a guinea pig and two chickens named Gracie and Bunny. “For most of the time she’s just a normal girl in Arkansas,” she said.
‘The View’ hosts seemed fascinated by Eden, especially Barbara who asked her for a hug and a kiss. But Joy Behar was clearly not a fan! The comedienne looked stunned by Eden’s diva behavior and couldn’t help but roll her eyes when the six-year-old talked about her retirement, revealing she’ll be “spending time doing other things.”
But mom Micki had a parting blow for mothers who disapprove of the pageant lifestyle. “To each his own,” she said. “Everybody has to do what they think is best.” When Barbara asked Eden if there were times she didn’t like all of the glitz and glamor she said “Yeah. The hairspray is the hardest part.”
Eden bowed out with a performance of her song “Cutie Patootie,” much to the delight of the audience.
We can’t wait to follow Eden as she embarks on her new career! Did you see her on The View? What did you think?
