Selena Gomez visited the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to help Ryan Seacrest launch his new contribution, The Voice, and even took time to sing her hit single while a little girl played her guitar!
Selena Gomez is as compassionate as she is talented. The 18-year-old starlet took time out of her jam-packed schedule to help Ryan Seacrest launch his new project, “The Voice,” at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia July 15 — and we love this video of her singing “Who Says” with a heart patient named Julia.
Julia didn’t feel comfortable singing, but she was willing to accompany Selena on the guitar — and she sounded really good! Selena — who often gets critiqued when she sings live — held her own and sounded clearer than ever in the a capella rendition of her single.
“I’m excited to bring The Voice to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia,” Ryan said of his contribution. “The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is a leading pediatric clinical and research facility and a national leader in developing techniques to support the patient’s emotional well-being. The Voice closed-circuit broadcast center is a new addition to their existing Child Life programs and provides creative, interactive entertainment.”
Selena was a surprise guest at the event and Ryan said her presence meant more to them than she could even realize. We love seeing stars take time to give back to the community, don’t you?
