Tycoon’s Son, Six, Dies After Falling Down The Stairs At His Dad's Mansion!

Max Shacknai was hospitalized after the fall last week. Just two days later his dad’s girlfriend – who was caring for him when the accident happened – was found hanged at the same house!

Max never recovered from his injuries and died in a hospital in San Diego on July 17. His death is being treated as a tragic accident – but cops are still investigating how his dad’s girlfriend, Rebecca Nalepa, 32, died two days later.

Rebecca was found naked and hanging from a balcony with her hands and feet bound with tape.

Cops haven’t ruled out suicide, but the fact they are probing her death further suggests there’s a suspicion it may be connected to Max’s accident.

Bizarrely a loud party had been thrown at the mansion the day before her body was found, and the day after Max’s accident.

Rebecca also had a colorful past — before she started dating Max’s dad, Jonah Shacknai in 2009, she was convicted of stealing jewelery worth $1,000.

Jonah wasn’t at home when either incident occurred. The multimillionare boss of pharmaceutical firm Medicis announced his son’s death in a joint statement with his ex-wife, “’With great sadness, Dina and I convey the tragic passing of our beloved son, Max (affectionately known as Maxie). Despite heroic efforts on the part of paramedics and hospital staff, he was unable to recover from the injuries suffered early last week. His loving, kind and vibrant spirit will be forever in our hearts and those whom he touched every day.”

What a tragic and baffling story. Let’s hope the police get to the bottom of it.
