Demi has been spending time with Ryan, who is double her age and has a daughter only 7 years younger than the singer! Is this a smart move for the troubled singer?

Demi Lovato is moving on and better than ever following her time in treatment earlier this year, but reports of the new man in her life are somewhat unsettling — 36-year-old Ryan Phillippe! EOnline reports, “Lovato has been quietly dating Phillippe, the actor and divorced dad of three (including 2-week-old daughter Kai with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp), over the last couple of months.” Is that a good idea?

Ryan has a history of quickly moving from woman to woman, and his relationship with Demi may be why actress Amanda Seyfried parted ways with the actor in June of 2011.

“It was really hot and heavy for a while,” a source told the site, but cooled when Ryan had his baby. “It kind of threw [Demi] for a loop.”

Demi, who sought treatment for issues with cutting and an eating disorder, seems to be playing fast and loose with her recovery by dating know Lothario Ryan, especially since his daughter, 11, is only seven years younger than Demi herself!
