Pleaaaaaase…Chris is obviously joking! Not Rob kind of scene, at all, although I do think Chris let the actors act too freely in NM. He should have done what Catherine did: told them to tone down the teenage anger (and drama). Result: cute fun movie!

Chris, it’s you are a bad director not Rob.
Don’t blame Rob for your mistakes.
I can see NM only 20 min at the beginning and the end including this “frolic” scene.
The rest is awful and realy frolic.

Dude, you are the director. It is your job to say yes AND no. So if you allowed the scene, have the balls to stand by your mistake.

LOL, I love Chris! Yes, the frolic scene was ridiculous and I’m glad that Chris doesn’t think this was so genius; he can LAUGH at this. He did way better as a director than Catherine Hardwicke; Catherine RUINED the series!

I agree the new moon movie was poorly directed the first was the best and my favorite they should have kept the first director Catherine Hardwicke i try to watch new moon and it doesn’t have the same feeling as the first twilight.

You people at HL are obviously still too stupid to know when CW is joking. Both he and Rob have the same whacked out sense of humor.

If he was joking or not is beyond the point, that movie ruined itself. It was horrible i dont know why they ever made him the director of the movie honestly.

CW is joking of course. He has nothing but high regard for RP. It was CW who wrote the piece on RP for Time’s 100 Most Influential people the year New Moon was out. Is it a slow newsday HL?

Hollywood Life obviously doesn’t understand the concept of irony. Everyone knows what a dry sense of humor Chris Weitz has. Read his hilarious comments on twitter for proof. Figures HL would take him at his word. Lmao

since the whole of new moon was so stupid, i never found this particular scene silly. I dont know why people even named it and stuff (frolic or whatever) …you know i actually liked that scene. It was pretty suggestive of the kind of love between the charecters..fairy tale, no-brainer kind of infatuation. This kind of love should be shown with people running in forests……because the whole concept of twilight is stupid, running around the trees kind of love. I think rob purposely wanted that scene because he himself hates the twilight films

R U KIDDING ME???? You actually printed this article? Does anyone know or check anything anymore?? Chris was joking.. if you follow his tweets, he jokes all the time. This scene was not Rob’s idea, Chris has already stated in the past it was his idea and that it was just one of those things that did not work the way he wanted it to. I dont understand why you constantly print false things about Rob. Find someome else to try to pick on to get hits for your column. This is bordering on ridiculous. You have 6 made up articles based on 0 truth all in the last couple days. Come on where is the journalism – stay off twitter and find a real story about someone else.

The slow motion scene of Bella and Edward running through the forest. It was one of Alice’s glimpses of the future showing Aro that Bella would become a vampire. It was a very silly scene.
