Ace and Chris just dropped their single ‘Body 2 Body’ together — and Ace tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that working with Chris was totally awesome!
Recording artist Ace Hood just dropped a hot new single “Body 2 Body” with his friend, hip hop artist Chris Brown, that will be on his upcoming album Blood, Sweat & Tears. And Ace tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that despite Chris‘ past, his musical talent and work ethic make him incredible to work with!
“Working with a guy like that is always special,” says Ace. “As soon as he heard the record, he was so excited about it. He was like, ‘Man I love it. Don’t have nobody else cut it. I’ma cut it asap.’ So he cut the record asap, sent it back to me. As soon as he sent it back to me, when I heard it, I was blown away. I was like, ‘Wow, the ladies are going to go crazy over this record!'”
Ace shares that Chris is really cool and easy to work with — and that people are just hating on him for his success. “He’s a real dude,” reveals Ace. “He’s a star. That’s what people do everytime, being that he got into the altercation in the past — he’s reached the top of success again. That’s all that it is. People want to criticize at the end of the day. He keeps pushing. He ain’t worried about it.”
Ace and Chris are coming out with a video for “Body 2 Body” quite soon. “We already shot the video,” says Ace. “We shot the video BET Award weekend in Hollywood. The video is due to drop real soon.”
Ace describes where the video takes place: “Pretty much all over the Hollywood Hills — a very beautiful view, beautiful house. We have shots poolside.”
“It’s a good chance [I go shirtless],” he slips in.
And regarding his friend’s dance moves — Ace admits that he would love Chris to teach him a thing or two, but it’s hard for them to get together outside of work: “I want him to [teach me some of his dance moves] but we don’t get together on our own personal time.”
Ace would love to also “work with Alicia Keys” and her “phenomenal” voice sometime in the future.
But for now, Ace is excited to release his third album Blood, Sweat, & Tears on Aug. 9! “This album is really kind of like my life’s testimony,” declares Ace. “Kind of like the things I’ve really been through, just really representing the struggle. It really speaks on those aspects — my trials and tribulations in this industry, and my personal issues. Blood, Sweat, & Tears is pretty much what I’ve given the game!”
