Loading video... sat down with Sean Paul to discuss the rapper’s hottest new single for the summer, ‘Got 2 Luv U,’ — and he tells us all about who he wants to work with next!

Sean Paul watched his fellow rap superstars from the sidelines for over a year while he recovered from knee surgery. But now, the highly-acclaimed Jamaican rapper returns to the music scene to release “Got 2 Luv U” — a catchy new dance tune that is already blasting its way to the top of the charts as the summer heat races alongside. Check out‘s exclusive interview with Sean — and see what he has to say about future collaborations with today’s top artists, including Justin Bieber!

“Got 2 Luv U” features America’s Got Talent star Alexis Jordan, and is produced by Norwegian hip-hop duo StarGate. “They’re from Norway but they’re killing it, and they’re making a lot of stuff that’s heavy dancehall stuff for me,” Sean tells us. Keeping with his traditional reggae-rap sound, Sean attempts to reach new boundaries with the first single off his upcoming fall-speculated release. “We tried to broaden the gaps, become a bigger sounding music as to what dancehall has been for years now,” he says.

Like Alexis Jordan, Sean is expecting to feature a handful of artists on his upcoming album, including Kelly Rowland as well as tracks produced by Benny Blanco — the 23-year-old producer who is responsible for producing tracks by Katy Perry, Ke$ha, and many more. But Sean reveals that there are some artists absent from his new album that he hopes to work with in the future.

“I really like Shakira’s vibe,” he reveals. “She’s got a really good international flavor but she brings Latina vibe to the world with her movements and dance stuff.”

And could we ever see a collaboration with Sean and Justin Bieber?  “Yeah, the kid’s cool,” says Sean. “I ‘never say never.’” Ha!
