Kate Hudson's Fiance Matt Bellamy Reveals The Inspiration For Baby Bingham's Name!

Fri, July 15, 2011 9:19am EDT by 3 Comments

Eyebrows were raised when the actress and her rocker beau announced the name of their newborn on Thursday.

So Kate Hudson‘s fiance Matt Bellamy has logged onto Twitter to explain the inspiration for their ‘unique’ baby name, BinghamBing’  Hawn Bellamy. Can you guess what it is?

“For those wondering, Bingham is my mum’s maiden name and Bing Russell was Kurt’s dad,” Matt tweeted “Family connections all round!”

Hawn, of course, is Kate’s mom, Goldie‘s last name.

That’s some coincidence, huh HollyMoms?

We have to admit, Bing’s growing on us. What do you think about the name?

Big deal they gave their son his paternal grandmothers maiden name as a firstname sir names as first names isn’t uncommon other examples are Jackson Johnson Harrison & Lennon. as in Painter Jackson Pollack & actor Harrison Ford and so on. Naming a child after a grandparnet or a favorite movie star is common and example is Elinore Teresa Newman is named after both her Maternal & paternal grandmothers
