NBC is in the lead to land Casey’s first interview. Will you watch?

Casey Anthony’s lawyers are brokering a deal for her first interview since she was found NOT GUILTY of murdering her daughter Caylee — and sources say NBC are leading the pack.

Casey’s lawyer Jose Baez has spent this week in New York speaking with network representatives about a possible interview, which could take place in six-to-nine months time, reports the New York Post.

It’s unknown if Casey would be paid — a move that would provoke outrage from a public who largely believe she got away with murder — but sources tell the New York Post NBC funded Baez’s trip and are favorites to win the interview, which would attract a huge TV audience.

NBC anchors Matt Lauer; Brian Williams and Ann Curry would be among the favorites to sit down with Casey — if the network does come out on top.

Those hooked on the case won’t have to wait quite as long for new unseen footage of the accused killer, if cable news channels get their way.

Video of Casey doubled over and hyperventilating when she was told Caylee’s body had been found was banned from her murder trial, because the judge deemed it “highly inflammatory.”

But it may now see the light of day — and networks are fighting to be the first to air it.
