Don’t worry, little Leah isn’t actually tweeting yet — dad Gary Shirley’s doing it for her!
But Gary Shirley’s fun plan to let his daughter Leah share photos and connect with fans of Teen Mom might have backfired — he’s already being attacked by followers for setting up her account.
Gary announced Leah was now on Twitter on July 12, telling fans, “On this #TeenMomTuesday little Leah gets a Twitter.”
But he didn’t get the response he expected and was immediately criticized for exposing Leah to all the evils of the internet.
On Twitter critic told him, “No one would make a #twitter for their child. You’re just asking for drama and attention.” Another wrote, “Its not safe with all these creeps around for a baby to have a twitter weather she’s using it or not in my opinion.”
Gary quickly backtracked, insisting, “You guys, it should be obvious that Leah has no contact w Twitter. This is just a fun concept that will in no way affect Leah herself.”
“I protect my daughter. This is for her sayings, things she’s doing, ect.. its all me tweeting….”
What do you think, HollyMoms? Are Gary’s critics overreacting? Or is HE in the wrong?
