At the July 11 premiere of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,’ Emma’s shimmering black, yellow and gold eye look stole the show.
Emma Watson typically stays on the natural side of the beauty spectrum, save for some fabulous red lip looks, but this bold eye makeup is definitely a beauty DO! Learn how YOU can safely apply and wear glitter eye makeup that will stay put all night.
The first thing that you need to know about putting glitter near your eyes is that it must be cosmetic grade glitter — so no dipping into your craft drawer for this! Cosmetic grade glitter is specifically cut, dyed and manufactured in such a way that it is safe to use on delicate areas of the face.
Next, get it to stick! Use a cream eyeshadow as your base, applying it thickly to the areas that you want your glitter to stick to. Use a small brush to get the glitter just where you want it.
I recommend that you do your eye makeup first for a look like this because you’ll probably get some glitter fall-out that you’ll want to whip away afterwards. Then complete your look!
