A hair expert tells us Dakota Fanning is NOT wearing a wig and she actually cut her hair into a pixie ‘do for her film, ‘Now Is Good.’ What do YOU think of her new look?

We had to do a double take when we first saw this photo of Dakota Fanning on the set of her film Now Is Good in London July 11. The 19-year-old Twilight actress looks completely different with nearly all her hair gone!

At first we wondered if she was just faking the cut with a wig, but Roger Norman of Chrome Salon & Spa in Culver City tells HollywoodLife.com it’s actually real.

“Dakota Fanning’s hair looks like it has been cut. By looking close-up at her roots you can tell it is not a wig,” he explains.

Dakota is the lead in the drama (which is based on Jenny Downham‘s novel, Before I Die) and plays a terminally ill young lady who is determined to make the most of her last days on earth.
