Happy Birthday, Octomom! You're 35 Today, July 11!

Nadya Suleman, better known as Octomom, turns 35 today — can you imagine having all those kids at that age?

In January 2009, this ordinary woman’s life changed, as she was only the second woman in the United States to give birth to octuplets and broke the record for survival rates. Prior to that Nadya Suleman had six other children, causing the general public to judge and draw conclusions. However, all children were conceived through in vitro fertilization. Nadya was single and unemployed at the time the octuplets were born.

Prior to welcoming her octuplets, Nadya was married to Marco Gutierrez, but their divorce was finalized in 2008 due to issues with starting a family. He is currently remarried with two kids and never fathered any of Nadya’s babies.

“I try my best to calm the kids and if I can’t do it I’ll leave the store,” she once advised on children’s tantrums, ”I try not to feel pressure to have everything under control because all parents have been there.”
