In a recent interview, ‘Harry Potter’ actor Daniel Radcliffe made an off-handed comment about actors and music. Do YOU think he was being rude?
Despite being a musically gifted stage performer (who’s currently starring in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway), don’t expect to see Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe joining a band anytime soon like Twilight star Robert Pattinson. He thinks it’s lame!
In an interview with USA Weekend promoting the final Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Daniel, 21, laughed off the idea of putting his musical talents to use outside of acting. “Nobody wants to see actors in bands, just like we don’t want to see musicians in films,” the actor said.
Although his comment wasn’t pointed at anyone in particular, we can’t help but wonder if it was a dig at his former co-star, R-Patz, who’s said before music is his “back up” career and is even a member of a band called “Bad Girls.” In fact, Rob’s music has been featured in Twilight and was on the sound track!
We think Rob’s voice and his songs are top notch — and would LOVE to see him touring with a band. Plus, there are a slew of other major actors who both star in films AND sing in bands — ie: Selena Gomez, Jackson Rathbone, Jared Leto, Darren Criss and Cory Monteith to name a few — and their multi-tasking is only helping them!
Sorry, Daniel. We completely disagree with you. You missed the mark on that one!
Do YOU think Daniel was intentionally dissing Rob — or any of those other actors? Sound off below!
