The attorney who helped the accused child-killer beat death row insists he never doubted she was innocent of murdering her daughter.
As Casey Anthony prepares to walk free from jail, Cheney Mason also claims her LIES were just a ‘protective mechanism.’ Wow! Do you agree?“I do believe her story. I believed it from the first time I met her. I have never for one minute had any doubt at all.” Cheney Mason tells the Today Show, “She did not kill her child. Period.”
During her six week trial, Casey was exposed as a skilled liar. Her murder jury heard how she told police hunting for Caylee a string of misleading tales — including lies about where she worked and the identity of a fictional nanny who was supposedly caring for her daughter.
Although she was found not guilty of Caylee’s murder, she was convicted of four counts of lying to law enforcement officers.
But Cheney Mason insists she was just protecting herself! He says, “There’s no question that she told a lot of stories to friends for protective mechanism and I think we presented evidence for that.”

Has anyone looked up her attorney on Wikepedia? It took him 8 yrs to be accepted to the bar because of bad check writing, back child support etc. If her lies were true about molestation why didn’t a nurse, teacher or student come forward all lies. The truth is she put nail polish remover on a rag put little Caylee in her back seat went out and partied came back and she was dead. Then she got away with murder so sad. We lost our son in a terrible auto accident and our lives are changed forever but for me she has no soul and cares only for herself. God will give her justice. Remember there are a lot of Hinkleys running around
