Zac was out drinking with Victoria Justice’s boyfriend but didn’t urge him to take a cab — should he have looked out for his friend?
Zac Efron is a great friend, but many fans are wondering if he should have intervened when he went out drinking with his friend Ryan Rottman — and Ryan ended the night in jail with a DUI arrest!
Ryan, 26, was out drinking with Zac at Dillon’s Irish Pub in Hollywood on July 7 and the two apparently had a GREAT night at the bar, TMZ reports. Sources say the friends — along with some other buddies such as Rumer Willis — ordered many shots, beers and mixed drinks while they were out. Although Rumer was Zac’s designated driver, Ryan got behind the wheel himself after the group split and was nabbed minutes later for drunk driving, with a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit.

like rawash said ” he is not ryan’s babysitter…” SO even thou there friends Zac should told Ryan think about your girlfriend, dont do this to urself….

As a friend he should have stopped him but at the same time…he is not Ryan’s babysitter…if your going to drink then drink responsibly and anyone with half a brain should know that drink and driving is a stupid thing to do. BTw we don’t know the whole story we only know that Ryan got a dui and zac along with a bunch of other people were there…we don’t even know if he did try. At the end of the day…Ryan is 21 and knows right from wrong and Zac is not his dad for him to be held responsible for someone else’s actions.

But being a good friend means looking out for one another. Sure Zac is not Ryan’s babysitter. But Zac could of been a good friend and said “No man, your’e too drunk. Come ride with me.” Instead of letting him get in a car, driving off, then getting arrested. He could of died in an accident, and Zac, was going to allow that. If Ryan was my friend, I sure as hell wouldn’t of let him drive off with the car!
