Happy Birthday, Tom Hanks! You're 55 Today, July 9!

The two time Oscar winner (and voice of Woody from ‘Toy Story’!) hits 55 today!

The star of everyone’s favorite movies (Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Saving Private Ryan, to name a few) is in for a big celebration — this father of four and grandfather of one has a huge brood ring in 55 with today!

“I hope my kids understand that they’re not operating in a normal world,” Tom told Oprah in 2001. “And yet there are principles they have to adhere to that are normal—like decency, choosing between right and wrong, and honesty. That’s important stuff, whether you’re flying first-class or not. People ask me all the time, “What kind of father are you?” I won’t know until my kids are grown.”

Since then, his kids have grown! Tom has two children with his first wife, Colin, 33, and Elizabeth, 29. He also has two sons with his wife Rita Wilson, Chester, 20, and Truman, 15.

The Hanks family got even bigger this year when Colin and his wife Samantha welcomed baby Olivia in February.
