Just two days after Taylor Swift announced that a nasty case of bronchitis was forcing her to postdates on her tour, fellow songtress Katy Perry is following suit with a similar predicament.
Katy announced Friday that she’s postponing her Chicago and St. Paul concerts due to “an attack of food poisoning leading to severe dehydration.”
According to the promoters of her “California Dreams” tour, Friday’s show at Chicago’s Allstate Arena has been rescheduled for August 21, while Saturday’s concert at St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Cente has been rescheduled for August 23.
An apologetic Katy promised her fans that she’ll make up for the cancellation. “I apologize to my fans in Chicago and the Twin Cities for not being able to perform this weekend, but I am going to return in a few weeks to give them the very best show ever!” she said.
