Miley Cyrus Slams Casey Anthony Verdict: 'People Get Away With Murdering Children!'

Sassy songstress Miley Cyrus is the latest celeb to slam Casey Anthony‘s not-guilty verdict, questioning the jury’s shocking decision to acquit what she perceives as a child murderer.

“You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children, but we can’t get gay marriage legalized in the state of California,” Miley wrote in a tweet Wednesday morning, making an obvious reference to Casey’s case, without directly mentioning it.

Miley, who also took the opportunity to make a broader political statement about same-sex marriage, has spoken out about the issue before. In 2009 she tweeted, “Jesus loves you AND your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! that’s like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he’s gay and that is WRONG and very sad! like i said everyone deserves to be happy (sic).”

Miley follows a slew of other Young Hollywood stars who have spoken out against Casey’s not-guilty verdict, such as Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Mandy Moore.

Marriage is a form of a union between man and a woman. That is how it is defined. What are we going to do if marriage is redefined as a union between two people. We will simply invent two new words, one meaning a union between two people of the same gender, and another to referr to a union between a man and a woman, then everyone will simply rewrite all their laws and contracts to referr to the latter. The Real Issue isn’t the definition of marriage, it that we need to redefine our laws to address all forms of unions between people so they can get the benifits. I personally believe that all people who live together and depend on each other, for a period of time regardless of sex should get the same benifits as married couples. A lot of people live together but never get married, and are denied the same benifits of a married couple. In my opinion the Gay rights advocates are trying to take the easy way out, and looking out only for themselves, when they should take the harder and higher road and get the laws changes so they can reap the benifits that they seek for all couples regardless of if they are married or have been living together for an extended period.

Sigh. This is the kind of thing someone who gets a GED instead of taking courses in government and politics (not to mention English) would say. The world is not “skewed”, Miley. Learn some English. (Though I agree with her about gay rights. Homosexuals do not deserve to be discriminated against.)
