Kate Middleton In Alexander McQueen V. Sarah Jessica Parker: Who Wore It Better?

Who knew the Duchess and SJP had so much in common hanging in their closets?

On July 4, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, pulled out yet another high-fashion dress on the North American tour in Canada. After showing her appreciation for Canada Day, she was festive for Independence Day in her white and navy get-up — but she wasn’t the first stylish woman to flaunt this Alexander McQueen frock!

Kate is quickly becoming a style icon, so it’s no surprise she’s looking to other women in the category — including Sarah Jessica Parker! Back in January 2006, SJP accompanied her hubby Matthew Broderick when he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The fashionable star opted for the navy version and a bright red pair of pumps.

While SJP added a bit of flair to the look with her shoes, Kate kept her outfit more conservative, opting for navy Prada pumps — I love how both women made the dress their own with the subtle choices they made.

Who do you think wore it better?

This looks like a cute, preppy, tennis girl in the Hamptons, yacht club look.
