Emily will be sitting down with Chris on July 11 to discuss why her engagement to Brad failed — but Brad won’t be there because, as Chris puts it, ‘his emotions are still just too raw!’
Bachelor Brad Womack and Emily Maynard recently called it quits after their long distance engagement failed because Brad wasn’t ready to become a dad, and Emily didn’t want to subject to her 6-year-old daughter Ricki to the pain of such a questionable relationship. Now Emily will be chatting with Bachelor host Chris Harrison during the July 11 episode of The Bachelorette about why it didn’t work with Brad. But Brad won’t be joining he ex-fiance because the emotional pain of their breakup is still too fresh for him to handle!
“Many have asked why we only sat down with Emily and not Brad,” Chris writes in his personal Entertainment Weekly blog. “I talked to Brad several times leading up to this interview and have talked to him since. While he gave his blessing for Emily to speak on their behalf, his emotions are still just too raw and he wasn’t ready to speak openly about it all yet. I respect that decision and told him I was extremely sorry we had to do this interview at all.”
Emily join Chris solo to discuss the downfall of her engagement to Brad. “As you have no doubt heard already, Brad and Emily have unfortunately broken up,” says Chris. “They attempted to remain quiet and private, but with so much attention being paid to them it just wasn’t possible. For that reason, Emily reluctantly came in and sat down with me to talk about her relationship [and] what went wrong.”
Emily has already interviewed with People magazine, but this will be the first time she publicly discusses her problems with Brad on TV.

Why drag this saga on? Wasn’t this program on last year? As for Emily and Brad, she is way too good for this guy, he has an agenda and it isn’t marriage, plus, I don’t find him appealing in the least, get over it you two. There are plenty of lovely, sincere humans walking the earth for you both to make a love connection.
