Demi Lovato is so emotionally-connected to her music, you could ‘hear her cry’ while recording her much-anticipated new single! How touching!
Demi Lovato isn’t one to shy away from her emotions. On her road to recovery Demi has been nothing short of amazing — allowing fans to follow her in her healing process as she overcomes her battles with both an eating disorder and depression. She’s healthier than ever now and has recorded touching new music to share with her fans. In fact, her new single “Skyscraper” brought her to tears while she worked on it!
Demi’s co-writer for the song, Kerli, says via her Formspring account, “I am so excited [for Skyscraper] as well. No one has been able to hear it cause they’re keeping it behind locked doors but the couple people who have heard it say she absolutely killed it and [you] could hear her cry while she was recording it.”
“My first single is really special to me— to me it symbolizes my journey from the person I was to the happy healthy person I am today, and the fact that people are able to rise above anything, despite the odds,” Demi has said of “Skyscraper”. She’s called her time working on her album “therapeutic” and says she hopes to inspire young girls with her music.
It’s clear her new song means a lot to her, so it’s no surprise Demi got so emotional while recording it.
